The Baubau City Cultural Development Master Plan

Abstract

This article discusses the potential of culture spread across the City of Baubau summarized in the Baubau City Cultural Development Master Plan Document. Qualitative research methods with techniques for collecting data on data collection, interviews and documentation then conducted a mapping of cultural potential in Baubau City. The results of the research were identification of cultural potentials both cultural rights, identity and character, diversity and multiculturalism, historical and cultural heritage, cultural industries, cultural diplomacy, human resources and cultural institutions, cultural facilities and infrastructure that can be managed and developed in the future. To be able to formulate steps and strategies for the development of the culture of the City of Baubau.
