The Role of Transportation Accessibility Support on Tanjung Lesung Banten Tourist Interest

Abstract

Tanjung Lesung Beach is one of the beaches in Banten which is quite well known among tourists, located about 160 km from Jakarta, located at the western tip of Java Island, precisely in Tanjung Jaya Village, Panimbang District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The scope of this study is related to identifying transportation problems to and from the Tanjung Lesung area, while the formulation of the problem is how to develop tourism in Tanjung Lesung and what are the existing conditions of transportation to and from the Tanjung Lesung area. The analysis used is quantitative descriptive analysis, which is expected to produce output in the form of recommendations for developing transportation to and from Tanjung Lesung with outcomes in the form of cooking ingredients to support the realization of the development of the Tanjung Lesung tourist destination. The results of the data analysis conclude that currently going to Tanjung Lesung is supported by a road, crossing, rail, sea and air transportation network with the closest nodes as follows: the nearest airport is Soekarno Hatta Airport, the nearest crossing port is Merak Harbor, the nearest station is Rangkasbitung, and the nearest Type A Terminal is Labuan Terminal in Pandeglang City. It's just that all the available modes are not well integrated, so tourists have to change modes up to 3 times by public transport. Based on the survey results, the Tanjung Lesung SEZ is traversed by national and provincial roads. In general, the condition of the road and bridge network through Tanjung Lesung and its surroundings still requires development and improvement to support tourism activities.
